Thomas Douglas Percy Holden : ウィキペディア英語版 | Thomas Douglas Percy Holden Thomas Douglas Percy Holden (1859 – 31 December 1938) was an Australian politician. He was born in Sydney to accountant Thomas Douglas Percy Holden and Mary Walsh. He ran a tobacconist and barber shop in Redfern, where he was a long-serving alderman and served as mayor in 1912. On 16 August 1898 he married Louisa Hodge, with whom he had three children. He was a foundation member of the Redfern Labour League, and in 1912 was appointed to the New South Wales Legislative Council as a Labor member. He opposed Jack Lang in the 1931 split and sat as Federal Labor until the reconstitution of the chamber in 1934. Holden died at Ashfield in 1938. His son Thomas Sinclair Holden was also a member of the Council. ==References==
